You're in control of your information on Kinsie. This page explains your rights and how to use them.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your information;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete your information or your whole account;
- stop using your health information, by withdrawing your permission;
- tell you which companies we've shared your information with.
We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights. We don't sell your information.
How to make a request
In the app. You can do most things yourself in Settings: edit your profile, turn Skin Profile Labels on or off, choose who sees your activity, turn off notifications, and delete your posts, diary entries, Plum chats and memories, or your whole account.
By email. Email legal@kinsie.app from the address on your Kinsie account and tell us what you'd like.
- We'll confirm it's you before we act.
- We'll reply within 30 days. If we need more time, we'll tell you why.
- It's free.
- Someone else can make a request for you if you give them written permission. We may check with you first.
If we say no
We'll explain why. You can appeal by replying to our email or writing to legal@kinsie.app, and we'll respond within 45 days. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact your privacy regulator:
- US: your state attorney general
- Canada: the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information
- EU and UK: your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO)
If you're in the EU or UK
We use your information:
- to provide Kinsie, as agreed in our Terms;
- with your consent, for health information;
- for our legitimate interests, like keeping Kinsie safe and improving it;
- to meet legal obligations.
You can also object to how we use your information, ask us to limit it, or ask for a copy in a format you can take to another service.

Affiliate partners
When you open a retailer link, affiliate networks like Rakuten Advertising use cookies to track the click and any purchase, under their own privacy policies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser to stop this. If you have questions about that tracking, contact us or the retailer. See Rakuten Advertising's privacy policy.
