What is a "kin" and how does Kinsie match me?

A kin is someone whose skin profile resembles yours — same skin type, conditions, sensitivities, preferences, and more. When you sign up, you tell Kinsie about your skin, and Kinsie helps you find people whose skin most closely matches yours. The more specific your profile, the more useful the match.

How do you make sure the reviews are authentic?

We strip incentivized reviews, anyone who got the product free or got paid to talk about it. We only count outcomes from real people logging real routines.

How is the personalized score different from a star rating?

A star rating is one person's flat 1–5. Kinsie's score is 0–10 and built from how you rank and compare the products you've actually tried, so it reflects your skin and your taste, not a crowd average. The same product can score differently for you than for someone else, and that's the point.

Is my data private and protected?

We never sell your data. We use it to match you with kins and personalize your recommendations. That's it. We don't sell it to brands. You can see what's stored, edit it, or delete your account anytime.

Is Kinsie free? Will I see ads or sponsored products?

Kinsie is free to join and free to use. No ads. No sponsored products surfaced as recommendations. We may add a paid tier for power features later, but the core experience, finding your kins and seeing what worked for them, stays free.
